The « Agora Schuman » was held on 28th November 2023, 60 years after the death of Robert Schuman, one of the Founding Fathers of Europe, on the following subject: « What kind of Europe do we want for 2029? ». The event was organised by Grand Est-Europe, the Permanent Representation of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to the European Union, the Permanent Representation of France to the European Union, the Robert Schuman Foundation and the European Movement International.
The Agora Schuman aims to take forward discussions on the future of the European Union, to go beyond technical discussions and to remind us of the importance of democratic issues and European citizenship. The event highlights the links between the various levels of governance and recalls the strong link between Robert Schuman and his native region, located located in the heart of European history and geography and home to several European institutions.
